we provide a unique educational experience
The Olive Branch Montessori Academy stands out for its comprehensive educational approach. We integrate international education standards with the child-centred Montessori system, especially in our lower classes, to offer a holistic learning experience. Our beautiful campus is designed to enhance both educational and personal development, supported by a team of well-trained, loving, and nurturing teachers. We have augmented our STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) curriculum to bolster problem-solving and creativity skills. This helps to prepare our students for high school and university studies in these areas that are so crucial for success in the 21st century.
Our classes are organized by age to provide the most appropriate and targeted learning and development at each stage of life. We offer:
-
Toddlers Class: For children aged 1.5 years and older
-
Casa Class: For children aged 3 to 5 years
-
Grades One through Seven: For children aged 5 to 13 years
Most students from the Zion Peace Home conveniently walk to school in just 10 minutes, while other students use school bus transportation and motorbikes to arrive each day.

mlombwa yassin, MONTESSORI ACADEMy head of school
Mlombwa joined our TOBFC family when she was 7 years old. She was a gifted and hard-working student at primary and secondary school, where her interest in the sciences was first sparked. She completed her Form VI studies in Biology, Chemistry, and Geography and was selected to attend the Dar-es-Salaam University College of Education, a constituent college of the University of Dar-es-Salaam. Her studies focused on becoming a secondary school biology and chemistry teacher. Mlombwa chose to do her field placement at a secondary school in Mbeya, teaching primarily biology to Form I and Form II students so that she could give back to her community and positively impact the students.
After graduation, Mlombwa returned to Mbeya and is now the Head of School for TOBFC Montessori Academy. She uses her unique insights and experience as a former TOBFC student to enhance the learning environment for current students and ensure each child’s needs are personally met. She also encourages building strong teacher/student relationships based on good communication and positive reinforcement.
