The Olive Branch for Children
We are throwing a fabulous party to celebrate our 20th anniversary and you are invited!
Twenty years ago Deborah McCracken-Nangereke founded The Olive Branch for Children to foster the passion and resilience of the Tanzanian people. TOBFC began by supporting six children in 2005 and today we impact over 200,000 individuals every year in more than 50 different communities in the Mbeya region of Tanzania.
We are excited to recognize this incredible milestone with old friends and new. Please join us at this year’s gala to celebrate 20 years of impact with a fun-filled evening of good food, great company, an open bar, live music, dancing, and more.
By attending the gala, supporters like you help TOBFC to continue to offer impactful, integrated programs that invest in people’s potential, nurture dignity, and empower communities to create generational change.

Includes 10 individual gala tickets at a reserved table, plus recognition at the gala and on the website and a $1,100 tax receipt
Child under 12 – C$100
Includes dinner, activities, and a $40 tax receipt

Vegetarian Meals
To order a vegetarian meal, please indicate this when ordering tickets or email us at info@theolivebranchforchildren.org by April 24 to tell us the number of vegetarian meals you would like for your party. If you have special dietary restrictions, such as being gluten free, please email us as well. Table purchasers will be contacted by TOBFC two weeks before the event to inquire about meal requirements.

Tax Receipts
Please purchase tickets in the name you wish tax receipts to be issued. Canada Helps automatically issues tax receipts according to your ticket order and payment. ​Purchase your gala tickets by February 28, 2025 and you can use your charitable tax receipt now for your 2024 tax year filing. Buy or Organize a Table
Buy a table of 10 and introduce TOBFC to new people. Or organize a table of friends or colleagues who buy their own individual tickets. Email us at info@theolivebranchforchildren.org
and we will seat you together.
If You Can't Attend
Please only purchase tickets if you are planning to attend the gala. If you would like to support the gala but are unable to attend, please make a donation instead and select “Annual Gala” in the drop-down menu. By doing this you receive the maximum tax receipt and we don’t order extra dinners.
